I realized that I haven’t posted anything in a long time. Have some cars I’ve seen around Osaka since the move. Oh, and a new Katana.

Those parking lots intrigue me.
Does that handicap spot h ave th e capability to tr ap non handicap cars?

Well, technically... but there’s one of those in every space. It’s a common thing in pay to park lots. The block goes up a couple minutes after a car parks, and you have to punch in the number of the parking spot in a machine, get your ticket; then when you return you feed the ticket back in and pay the 100 yen per hour fee (though usually you get it validated at the store and don’t have to pay anything.) These lots are a PITA which contributes to the people who just stop randomly on the side of the road, flip on the Hazard lights, and pop out of the car for 5 -20 minutes.
It’s either these or a fence all the way around with ticket gates for many (if not most) parking lots.
